I am zealous for biblical accuracy also, a quote from my book:
"I do have much experience being an S.A. survivor, but we should never go by experiences, to which much is being done in this generation. This is deadly and makes easy inroads for demonic teachings to creep through. Calling upon Yeshua (Jesus), in spirit and truth, and quoting The Scripture is the means by which spiritual warfare will successfully be accomplished, and this will be explained in the chapter “Conducting Spiritual Warfare”. And it is the “all authority Word of The Lord”, not experiences that will bring success in spiritual warfare.
II Peter 2:19
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Hebrews 1:1-2
1. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2. Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Hebrews 2:1-4
1. Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away from them.
2. For if the word spoken through angels proved stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;
3. how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard;
4. God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders, and by manifold powers, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.
Therefore, take heed to the “more sure word of prophecy” which is the scripture, and let it speak for itself, and examine every experience in light of the harmonization of the Bible, for Satan is a master deceiver and he is far more interested in bringing deception into the body of Messiah than through our fallen society. It is clear that the Father has spoken to us through His Son, and that revelation is in His Word. So much focus today is on dreams and visions distracting the body of Messiah away from His Word, and this is leading multitudes astray from the LORD through dreams, visions, and words of knowledge as ministers under deception deceive with cunning craftiness by the power of the demonic leading multitudes astray, as Dr. Fructenbaum gives warning so eloquently.
In relation to understanding biblical and spiritual issues is that one should clearly understand who God really is, and that must not go before or beyond anything revealed in scripture, it is detrimental to veer into one’s belief of who God is based on what one thinks God really is, or hearsay. Satan’s chief plan is to deceive humanity on who God really is, and it has worked most successfully. I find it a rare commodity to find those that profess that they believe, but hold to a distorted, inaccurate, and unrealistic view of who God really is. When we see him through our experiences, emotions, and other influential views, this is not who God is, for “He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel. He has not dealt thus with any nation”; this isn’t up for negotiation, therefore if “who God is” isn’t based in an accurate biblical view, it’s a false concept of who God is, as I’ve heard many state, “my God would never do that”, well their right, “their god”, they have been subtilty deceived into a false believe system of God, and that belief system if of demonic origin.
