Today the church needs, as never before, a more profound comprehension of God’s Word. In April 2020, responding to God’s call to stand for the truth of the Gospel, several pastors and biblical scholars from various evangelical and Messianic Jewish communities convened, expressing their concerns regarding the infiltration of false teachings into the local congregations The resultant loss of sound doctrine undermines the unity among believers and their relationship with God.

Dr. Igal German

Founding Director, IBAA & Yesod Bible Center, USA

Dr. Igal German is professor of Old Testament studies and a Messianic Jewish apologist (Ph.D., University of St. Michael’s College, Toronto; B.A., M.A., University of Haifa, Israel). 

Dr. German has taught in theological institutions both in Canada and the United States, including Wycliffe College, Moody Theological Seminary, and North Park University. His expertise includes the following areas: the Old Testament, the New Testament in its Jewish context, Biblical and Modern Hebrew, the history of biblical interpretation, and counter-cult apologetics. Igal published the monograph The Fall Reconsidered: A Literary Synthesis of the Primeval Sin Narratives against the Backdrop of the History of Exegesis with Wipf & Stock (2016). Igal is passionate about communicating the full spectrum of biblical scholarship to his students.

I am convinced that Bible believing Christians should unite as one army of the Living God to destroy the works of the devil and save deceived and lost souls.

Messianic Rabbi, Eric Lakatos

Tikvat Yisrael Messianic Synagogue, USA

Rabbi Eric David Lakatos has over 25 years of Jewish ministry experience, he is an author, teacher, speaker, podcaster, cantor, Holy Land Tour Host, and an ordained Messianic Rabbi by the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations & Synagogues, on which he also serves as a member of the Steering Committee. He holds a master’s degree in Apologetics from Luther Rice College & Seminary; he is also a Ph.D. student in theology at Columbia International Seminary. He is also a proud member of the International Biblical Apologetics Association. Rabbi Eric has been a frequent guest speaker on TCT Christian Television Network programs, he’s also the founder of a teaching ministry, Light to the Nations. He is committed to teaching the Jewishness of faith in Messiah Yeshua, apologetics, evangelism, and teaching the world to love Israel and the Jewish people.
Man searches for purpose, the meaning of life and truth in this world. They will never find it until they discover that Truth is a pronoun, Yeshua of Nazareth, and only then can they recognize who the Truth is and inherit the world to come.

Assistant professor of Theology and Apologetics and the Program Coordinator for the Master of Arts in Apologetics at Luther Rice College and Seminary in Lithonia, Georgia. He is the author of WHY? A Believer's Introduction to Defending the Faith and Jesus Before Constantine: The Church, Her Beliefs, and Her Apologetics.

I am an apologist at heart, believing it is not sufficient to simply know what you believe. You must also know why you believe what you believe.

B.S. from VA Commonwealth University, retired 26-year veteran federal agent. Co-founder of Cops for Christ and ordained police chaplain since 1980. John authored several books, including his best-seller, As America Has Done to Israel.

Chaplain McTernan has spent thousands of hours debating rabbis, Judaism's anti-missionaries, Muslims, and apologists from many religions and philosophies. John successfully debated Rabbi Tovia Singer, defended Yeshua as Israel's promised Messiah, and wrote a three-book series: Only Jesus of Nazareth: Can sit on the Throne of David; Only Jesus of Nazareth: Can be Israel's King Messiah and Only Jesus of Nazareth: Only Jesus of Nazareth Can Be the God of Israel's Righteous Servant.

Chaplain McTernan has written many brochures that have gone viral worldwide and were distributed in the millions while winning many souls to the Savior: Jesus Christ Came to Heal the Brokenhearted; For God so Loved the World; Looking for the Blessed Hope, and The 666 Surveillance System.

Chaplain McTernan preaches over the internet in Asia and Pakistan, winning many souls to Jesus Christ. His primary ministry now is ministering and healing people with broken hearts. For many years he was a pro-life leader in Central Pennsylvania. John is married with four children and nine grandchildren.

After much prayer and deliberation, a team of pastors and theologians created a unifying theological statement to help pastors and lay believers reach out to spiritually deceived individuals and families. This statement is known as the International Apologetics Declaration.

This new apologetics ministry, founded by Dr. Igal German and his colleague Michael Karpovetzki, seeks to provide pastors and lay believers with tools that address theological and practical challenges. Igal and Michael are passionate about evangelism, discipleship, and apologetics. We invite you to learn about the unique vision of our ministry and history below.
